What is the PTO?

The Penn PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a group of parents, teachers, and staff who strive to build community and support student learning in tangible ways.

What is the purpose of the PTO?

- Promote the welfare of the students, school, home, and community

- Enhance cooperation between parents and teachers

- Supplement resourcing and funding for the school’s materials and programs 

- Support the education of the students physically, mentally, and socially

What is required to join the PTO?

PTO membership is paid per family! Please complete the PTO registration form to subscribe to emails, receive monthly announcements and sign up to volunteer. By joining the PTO, you are not committing yourself to anything specific, only to the interest of your children's success.

Dear Penn Families:

On behalf of the PTO, welcome back to Sonnie Penn Elementary! As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, we look forward to continuing the traditions and values that make our school exceptional. Our strong relationships among teachers, staff, parents, and students remain at the heart of our community. With teamwork and collaboration, we are committed to making this year a success for all our Penn Panthers. Let's work together to ensure that every student can believe, achieve, and succeed!

We are excited to invite you to our first PTO meeting of the 2024-2025 school year on September 12th. Join us at 6:30 pm to mingle and meet other Panther families, with the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm.

We are a new PTO board and are eager to continue the work of supporting our school community. This year brings new opportunities for all our families to get involved in innovative ways. We encourage each Penn family to contribute their time and ideas to make this year a success. Your involvement, suggestions, and membership in the Penn PTO are essential to our mission.
